What you get
- A parent report the moment the practice test ends, no account: answers by paper, where to start, and three short sessions for this week.
- Print it or save it as a PDF. Saving to a free account is optional.
How the range is worked out
- Each question has a difficulty level from our Henrietta Barnett question bank. Difficulty levels are set by our question writers.
- In each section we find the ability that best explains how many your daughter got right, allowing for how hard those questions were.
- We report on the usual 11+ standardised scale, where the children who sit a test average 100 in each section, with most between 85 and 115. We place your daughter's ability on that scale and show where it sits among the girls who sit it. The result is our estimate on that scale, not a score from the school.
- The school does not publish how it combines the sections, so each one stands alone. With four or five questions a section the range is wide; a full timed mock narrows it.
Questions
Is this an official Henrietta Barnett paper?
No. The questions are our own, written for Round One's English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and each one was solved independently by two solvers.
How accurate is the score?
It is a range, because 14 questions cannot pin down one score. A full timed Round One mock covers far more of the test.
How long does it take?
15 minutes: English 6, verbal reasoning 5 and non-verbal reasoning 4. The school does not publish Round One question counts or timings.
Do we need an account?
No. A parent report shows straight away: answers by paper, where to start and three sessions for this week, to print or save as a PDF. A free account is optional; it keeps the report and works through every answer.
What comes after Round One?
Round Two: a 60-minute English paper and a 50-minute maths paper. Both rounds count towards the final decision; the school does not publish the weights.
